Three Paragraphs about Canberra

War Memorial

At the war memorial we had a look at all the things they used in the war like Ships, guns, planes/jets and submarines. The war memorial tells us how hard the ANZAC’s faught for our country. They put their lives on the line for us to have a better future. Now Australia is a safe country. The war memorial was so important to visit because it tells us about those soldiers who faught for our country and those who still are. The war memorial showes us what it’s like to be in war and how bad it is. It shows how desperate and brave people are to fight with pride for our country. I learnt a lot from this venue, I learnt what kind of weapens the soldiers use to fight with. I learnt that it is incredably hard for the families to see their loved ones go to war and that some are left haertbroken because they have lost a family member from war.

Australian Institute of Sport

The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) shows us the Athletes that there and how hard they work each dayv to fullfill their dreams and become a sporting champion. The AIS helps and trains Athletes to become an olympian. They encorage Athletes to be the best that they can be. The AIS was important to look at because some people in 5/6 want to become Athletes or sporting heroes. people who want to become a athlete need to see what training you need to do and how hard you need to work to become a Athlete or sporting hero. The AIS was educational in many was. When we had a tour we learnt about how athletes train and what they need to stay fit such as their diets and how long the train a week.
